About The DoctorDr. Kevin Parks is a 1983 cum laude graduate of the National College of Chiropractic. He returned to practice at the Jersey shore where he was raised. As a young child, Dr. Parks lived in Neptune. Following his graduation from Holy Innocents School, his family moved to Pt. Pleasant Beach. He attended Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, where he played varsity baseball, was an All-State soccer player, and served as President of the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. Then it was off to the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where he was a starting player on the soccer team that won two consecutive state championships and achieved national and regional ranking. Scholastically, Dr. Parks was elected to Phi Sigma, the national honor society for biology majors, and graduated with his B.S. in 1980. Dr. Parks devotes much of his free time to his family. He and his wife Karen, originally from Bellingham, Washington, have been happily married since 1982. They have two children, with whom they enjoy traveling, exploring, and outdoor activities. Brian was born July 5, 1988 and Eileen, a leap year baby, was born February 29, 1996. Family trips take the Parks' to the San Juan Islands and Cascade Mountains in Washington, the Blue Ridge in Virginia, the Adirondacks in New York, and the Green Mountains in Vermont. Favorite activities are hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and cross-country skiing together. Dr. Parks has also served as an assistant scoutmaster and committee chairman for Brian's Boy Scout troop. Currently he sponsors and coaches Eileen's rec league soccer teams. Dr. Parks is a board certified Chiropractic Neurologist, a member of the ACA Council on Neurology, and the secretary of the NJCS Council on Neurology. He continues to attend neurology classes on a monthly basis in order to keep abreast of the rapidly expanding knowledge base encompassed by the study of the human brain and its application in the treatment of patients. He is very excited about the great potential this current research holds for the treatment of those suffering with an incredible array of ailments. |
